How to Get a List of Participants from a LinkedIn Event

Understand how to extract participant lists from LinkedIn events and import them into SalesMind AI.

Updated 2 months ago

LinkedIn Events attract people who are already interested in a specific topic — which makes them some of the warmest prospects you can find. This guide shows you how to pull a list of event participants and import them into SalesMind AI.

Prerequisites

  • A LinkedIn account
  • Access to the LinkedIn event you want to target (you don't need to be the organizer)
  • A SalesMind AI account

Step 1: Find the LinkedIn Event

  1. Go to LinkedIn and search for the event by name, or navigate directly to the event page via a link.
  2. Click Attend if you haven't already — this gives you access to the full attendee list.

👉 Note: You can only see attendees who have their profile set to visible. LinkedIn does not expose private profiles in event attendee lists.

Step 2: Access the Attendee List

  1. On the event page, click Attendees (shown near the event header).
  2. LinkedIn will open a search results page filtered to people attending that event.
  3. You can apply additional filters here — job title, location, company, connection degree — to narrow the list further.

💡 Tip: Filter by 2nd-degree connections to prioritize people you have a mutual connection with. These prospects tend to accept connection requests at a higher rate.

Step 3: Refine Your List

Use LinkedIn's People filters to tighten the audience:

  • Title — target specific roles (e.g., "Head of Marketing")
  • Location — focus on a specific region
  • Industry — narrow to your target sector
  • Connection degree — 2nd degree for warm outreach, 3rd for broader reach

⚠️ Warning: Event attendee lists can be large. Applying filters before importing keeps your campaign focused and your message relevant.

Step 4: Import Into SalesMind AI

  1. Once your filtered attendee list looks right, copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
  2. Open SalesMind AI and go to your campaign's Prospecting List.
  3. Paste the URL into the LinkedIn search field.
  4. SalesMind AI will import up to 1,500 leads from that list.

💡 Tip: Mention the event in your outreach message — "I saw you're attending [Event Name]..." This shared context dramatically improves reply rates compared to generic cold messages.
